Energy Efficiency as energy resource

The greatest challenges faced by humanity nowadays are the increasing shortage of natural resources – especially of energy – as well as the climate change induced by burning fossil energy sources. For overcoming these challenges, we will have to find solutions that secure a sustainable energy supply. This means, our energy needs will have to be met without nuclear or fossil energy sources in the long term. Most importantly, the usage of resources today must not impair the basis of life for the generations to come. How to make people understand why and how to save energy? The poster competition “Energieeffizienz” was aimed at tackling this question. Students and young artists were invited to engage with this issue and to develop their own artistic interpretation and form of expression. The result was overwhelming: 1045 designs from artists of 27 countries were submitted.

An international jury had the difficult task of choosing the best works. The winning entries will now be exhibited worldwide.
